A former top LGU officials front tire fell into this space, he fell and broke his leg.  He is now disabled. I wonder why such a hazard has not been removed.

When can we have these hazards removed?

How about these other traps?

Unsafe at any speed - manhole and gratings trap

Ang Uno sa Lahat

Angono, Rizal Philippines   | October 15, 2014

A trap hole in the middle of a sidewalk;  I fell in to one of this and may shin was totally skinned.  The injured skinned shin was dipped into the dirty sewer water...

These manholes are open, are dangerous and pose serious injury in case of accidents to pedestrians MC and bike riders alike.  This writer has been a victim to one of the manholes.  (The road is near the Provincial Hospital)  While there are alleged budget for more sidewalks, there must be funds to repair these manholes.

In a recent case last week, a rider was seriously injured right next to the provincial hospital.  He was refused treatment at the said hospital owing to the seriousness of the injury.

These accidents are preventable if:

Workers raising the beam with bottle jacks

The bridge construction in Angono, Rizal has resumed and the current beam is to be raised 0.50 meter higher.  The office of the mayor has announced that it has intervened that the bridge construction be modified.

The alteration has been done to accommodate the numerous "experts" comment the much thicker beam will block the river and cause instant flooding.

Believe it or not, the beams will be raised one end after one another by mere two ordinary bottle jacks, each one with rated capacity of 25 tons.

Thank you mayor Gerry for the intervention.

Each jack's capacity is 25 tons, I am worried with the platform where the jack steps on...!

Long view of the jacking operations

All the beams at the north end have been raised

The beams are higher than the street level
