ATC (Angono Tennis Club) initiated tennis court at Bloomingdale Homes
As I took the pictures of the preparation for the Easter Salubong tomorrow, I admired the violet colored walls of the lone tennis court in Angono at the Bloomingdale Homes open space.
This reminds the author of the contribution he has made to the community:
1. The planning and execution of Bloomingdale Homes subdivision project. The Bloomingdale Homes subd, where even the Mayor has a house, and several other LGU execs, is one of the most expensive real estate in Angono. A decade ago, a 180 sm vacant lot prized at a million each. This is prized because it near the lake, (for fresh air) near the church and school, and near the public market, Unishoppe, and Save More (and Pure Gold)
2. The 7,000 + square meters open space that is occupied by a covered Ynares court, the tennis court, and the balance of the open space for the salubong, is an offshoot of that project development. No Bloomingdale Homes, no open space, no place for salubong.
3. I planned the tennis court with Achilles Jesuitas, who like me and two dozen others liked to play tennis but had no tennis court. I volunteered to have the tennis court at the Bloomingdale Homes Subd (but which later on sets a collision course with the Homeowners) despite the fact that they refused the donation of both roads and open space. I spent my own money for the portion of the tennis court construction. The Directors of Bloomingdale Homes would have none of that project.
Without that volunteerism, and spirit of civic consciousness, there would be no such tennis court. Only the brave and the courageous gets things done. Today, many would take credit for the tennis court. The barangay, the mayor the governor, and our efforts would be but forgotten. Even the late Achilles Jesuitas (the famed Angono sharpshooter and US Scout Veteran, who accidentally shot his in law over a spat between two eyes) (He could shoot a coin tossed into the air, he is better than FPJ)
The post is also made to remind some ingrates and those who were still in elem school, to understand, that the parents alone could not have thought of, nor planned or executed such a complex and challenging project such as subdivision project that involves complex purchasing deal, financing, construction and regulatory hurdles. And as such, could have been just given to them by their parents. Without the executives who did this, they would just be tinderas or tricycle drivers
