Several dozen Sto Ninos (private) awaiting blessing from the priest
Today is the Sinulog Festival in Cebu, a big event. It is both a religious and tourist spectacular, supported by the govt to draw in more tourist. I live in Bo. Sto Nino. Nine days ago, the novena started and the hermana was Dra. Edith Maralit, not far away from the house and the significant other conducted regular paampao (chichiriya to children after the novena)
Aside from the Feast of St Clement the town fiesta, the two other significant barrio fiestas are that of Santo Nino and San Roque.
The end of the celebration today. There is the mass at the church, a procession and handaan at the house of the hermano and bunutan (who would be the next hermano)
In the homily the priest noted that Sto Nino is everywhere: in red house, gambling house,in motels, in businesses etc, and the Senor seems to be OP (Out of Place) It is time that we make the Sto Nino part of our lives, inclusive and integrated so that he is not OP.
The next hermano is the daughter of Cora Villones. The current hermana is the tita of the new hermana. Here are some of the pictures
