Campaign is going on at a feverish and high pitch now. Barely two weeks are left before the election time comes. The opposing camps are the NPC coalition led by incumbent Mayor G. Calderon and the LP led by former 3 star general (former deputy head of PNP) The general boasts of his 90 medals and national experience and denigrates his opponent on this
The current mayor boasts of work experience at DENR for solid waste and MRF facilities and now is having a PTV program for Lakbay Pilipinas. What he lacks in medals he made up for it in public service performance. The incumbent campaigns very hard; the opposition does not; leaving us wondering what ace does the former military man have in mind?
Their campaign posters:
The incumbent has the resources of the LGU available and the momentum
Are the limits of set by Comelec met for campaign expenses?
Are these livelihood seminars not campaigning?
x What is the game of the general?
Why are they caged?
The LP is not waging war that much. What are they up to? What is the military strategy of the military man and medalist?

The Angono Salubong is not at Slideshare. So I am bringing the Angono Salubong at slideshare where it should also belong
Angono Higantes Festival at Slideshare
We made a powerpoint presentation of the Higantes Festival in slideshare, because there is totally nothing there on Higantes. I hope this puts Angono, and higantes at the slideshare site.

Picasa web photo albums of Tagak sa Wawa Angono, Rizal
Angono, Rizal | PHL | April 22, 2013
I saw last Saturday and today, quite a number of heron birds congregating near water lilies and fish cages. They are so close and so plentiful. They look as many as the migratory birds featured in swamplands of Candaba Pampanga. I created a slideshow from out of the pictures, thanks to Picasa web

More fishing birds at Laguna Lake, Angono, Rizal
Angono, Rizal PHL | April 22, 2013
I made an earlier post about barkadahan ng mga tagak last Saturday. Well there are even a lot more birds today.
Many fishing in birds in flight: kingfishers and heron; the lake abounds in fish that is why these birds mate and breed in large numbers
Before you see one or two herons; now there are about 5 dozens
The flaglets frighten the birds
The heron probably catch fish easier this way in fish pens
A couple watch the birds fly by
The fishing birds from a distance
The heron atop an island of water lilies

Unusual colors/patterns of the photo shoots in Angono
Angono, Rizal PHL April 20, 2013
There were some unusual colors/shapes that I got as I did the photo shoots for Angono chronicles:
What are these? Narra flowers dropping on the road
Bright colored seats inside a beauty parlor

x
Curtain festooned tricycle
Green wall
x
Railings keeping children out of harm's way on school days
This wall mural was ruined by the August flood
Past present and future of the park
The painting's resolution - never again was helpless against nature - the dark band was beyond 13 ft level.
Unique fence design

Angono Painters have shifted tack; are now practical and engaged in commercial activities
Angono, Rizal PHL April 20, 2013
The second generation artists/painters are now practical and not pursuing purely artistic activities. The family of late Jose Blanco shifted to school academy; Nemi Miranda and the late Perdigon Vocalan made their studios art galleries cum restaurant.

Nemiranda turns out to be the most prolific Angono artist now
Angono, Rizal PHL | April 20, 2013
Based on my observation, Mr. Nemesio Miranda is the most prolific artist now in Angono. He has a lot of events, is expanding his business and has many arte facts.
Please see the photos:
Nemiranda's Arthouse sculpture
His building along Manila East Road and the stunning sculpture to the right

Multi colored carabao display at his restaurant
A different kind of dining experience
Masks and carabao head relief
