There was a debate last Saturday sponsored by the town Parish between the incumbent and challenger mayoralty candidate. However it was formatted in such a way that the incumbent spoke first on the question, without variation, and the challenger, a supposed intellectual (and military man) rebutted and neutralized all the statements of the incumbent. The first speaker had no chance to rebutt.
Some quarters saw this to be unfair and one sided. At the minimum, a rebuttal period should have been allowe
