There is an ongoing bridge construction in Angono poblacion. It is causing a lot of inconvenience for commuters, jeeps and vans passing from one part of the town to another. On the other hand, the tricycles are having a grand time fetching passengers from the town to the highway where the ride is easier. The causes of criticism are:
1. The bridge construction is taking such a long long time, adding further to the inconvenience; (the contractor had the beam made in site rather than buying those that are pre fab)
2. Many pundits are criticizing the beam which is much taller than the former one (hearsay) and may block the flow of water and cause flooding. by maybe 1.5 to 2 feet? (sorry I did not take the measurement; again it is a hearsay)
They say the situation has been posted on the facebook for the authorities to correct. But none has been done so far.
If the beam daw would cause flooding, then they would have to dredge the river. Looks like a practical solution but would that no weaken the bridge pier.
We are not engineers but dont you think, the filosofos comment and observation should be evaluated?
