Picasa Album Slideshow of Balaw Balaw restaurant

Balaw balaw used to be the lone exotic restaurant in Angono Rizal.  It was founded by Perdigon Vocalan one of the noted artists in Angono.  He is now deceased and his wife Luzviminda runs the restaurant.  Balaw balaw is both a  great place to eat and a museum.  It was featured internationally at TLC for "Bizarre Food" by Andrew Zmerman.  (The video shot was done by a cousin - Bobet Angeles)

Angono, Rizal, PHL  April 6, 2013

Welcome to Angono, Rizal chronicles.  This is where I belong:   the place where I was born, I grew up, I studied, (until elementary) returned, started business, got married and had children.

I have here more than half a century and saw many facets of its growth and difficulties like floods and fire.

There are many events that take place that I can not post in other sites anymore.  I have to have a separate site for my hometown, Angono, Rizal  -  the town of my birth.
