Angono Rizal PHL May 18, 2013
Today, at about 12:30 to 1:30 I saw the third showing of Balaw balaw at Chefescapades of Gino and Gene Gonzales at Lifestyle network.
The feature, which ran for more than an hour told a lot/mouthful about Balaw balaw and Angono. It is a great honor to be featured in such a network
Angono, art galleries, Balaw Balaw, artists, national, Pepito Blanco, Botong Francisco, Lucio San Pedro, fiesta, Higantes, petroglyps, St Clement Parish, arts, food, events, Gerry Calderon, Art Capital, Ang Uno

Balaw balaw featured at Chefscapade at Lifestyle Network
Angono, Rizal PHL | May 17, 2013
I watched last night a replay of Lifestyle feature on Chefescapade on Balaw balaw. There was a lot of interview with Luzviminda Vocalan the widow of the late Perdigon Vocalan by Gene and Gino Gonzales (GGG)
It is nice ot know that there are a lot of TV features on Angono.
Luzvminda, whose brother is a priest, told that the restaurants attracted many tourists to Angono. The chefs agreed that you learn much from the locality/town through the food.
Chefscapades feature on Rizal begins April 25, 2013

Picasa Album Slideshow of Balaw Balaw restaurant
Balaw balaw used to be the lone exotic restaurant in Angono Rizal. It was founded by Perdigon Vocalan one of the noted artists in Angono. He is now deceased and his wife Luzviminda runs the restaurant. Balaw balaw is both a great place to eat and a museum. It was featured internationally at TLC for "Bizarre Food" by Andrew Zmerman. (The video shot was done by a cousin - Bobet Angeles)
